What alternatives are there to sugar fondant and buttercream for wedding cake frosting? - wedding cake alternatives

I am interested in a wedding cake that tastes good, not one that looks pretty. I've never understood the concept of look like making food good, but bad taste. Fondant sugar, in my opinion, tastes and smells like caulking and butter cream is always very sweet and has a granular structure disgusting. Are there alternatives to these two for the icing on the cake? I have my wedding at home in the spring for the merger is not a problem.

Decorator Frosting:

2 / 3 cup shortening (Crisco is best)
Sift 4 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon of tea. Vanilla extract
1 / 2 tsp. Almond extract
2.3 tablespoons. Milk

Up Beat until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth until ready to serve. You can spread it on the cake, dip the knife and then soak in hot water and make flowers or other accents. This is very tasty. Hope this helps.

No icing of whipped cream. Or you could try genache chocolate (not sure that you do with white chocolate?)

You can see the marshmallow fondant tastes, if you prefer. I like much better. I agree that the traditional fondant tastes terrible.

If you use the marshmallow fondant, you may love the taste of butter-test different bakeries "too. My butter cream is sweet but not grainy.

Find the best frosting that tastes good and can not come to look good, and a Crisco tons of sugar. Egg freezing is not popular at that time or in the United States, but is really more natural and traditional meringue pie there. Not too sweet not to get too tired to eat after a few seconds. My friends tested for the first time 6 months ago and loved it. Real cakes gurus know how to make and use the frosting on a wedding cake. It is easy to use, if you're a good designer, but it is wonderful in a wedding cake. (My mother had her wedding cake with this frosting.) I will say: It dissolves easily when the humidity is too high. Meringue is also the most natural and tasty is there. :)
